Hollinbrow manufactures laminated peelable shims in stainless steel, aluminium, brass, mild steel, carbon steel, polyimide, and titanium. These innovative shims feature layer thicknesses of 0.050mm or 0.075mm, allowing engineers to achieve precise thickness adjustments by simply peeling away layers. Peelable shims are available in total built-up thicknesses from 1.00mm to 2.50mm, offering exceptional flexibility for fine-tuning alignments and clearances.
Our shim range also includes alignment shims for machinery installation, slotted shims for easy fitting around bolts and fasteners, and shim washers laser cut to customer specifications in more than 60 different thicknesses starting from 0.01mm (0.0004″).

SHIMS | Raw Material Shim

Our Shim stock ranges from 0.005mm to 3.00mm (5 microns to 3000 microns).

We mainly provide metal shims, but can also provide plastic shims. 

You can order just a meter length of stainless steel shims (ideal for R & D) and have it delivered the next working day if your company is based in Europe. We provide within 2-3 working days anywhere else in the World.

We also laser-cut shim parts manufactured to your drawings. We offer a rapid quotation and manufacturing service.

Shim Washers – We can supply shim washers, laser-cut to customer specifications or to DIN 988 sizes (see link below). We can cut more than 60 different thicknesses starting from 0.01mm (0.0004″). Shim washers can be laser-cut from Stainless Steel Shim, Carbon Steel Shim, Mild Steel Shim, Brass Shim, Aluminium Shim, Copper Shim, and Phosphor Bronze Shim.
